Vacancy: Art Teacher – Full Time / Permanent
Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 per year
Base: Huddersfield and Heckmondwike

Brian Jackson College are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Art tutor to provide the arts award to KS3 & KS4 pupils. You must also be approachable, inspiring, enthusiastic and be able to quickly build relationships.

The salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications, NQT’s welcome.

Brian Jackson College are owned and managed by Fresh Futures which is a medium sized charity in Kirklees. Brian Jackson college is an Ofsted ‘GOOD’ school supporting pupils that have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream secondary school. The Aim of the School is to promote inclusion, raise standards of behaviour and achievement with a vision where young people achieve their full potential in life.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering Arts award bronze and Silver, alongside the AQA unit award scheme and have experience working with young people ages 13 to 16 years old with SEMH. You must be willing to travel and work across both provisions based in Huddersfield and Heckmondwike, 2 days in Heckmondwike and 3 days in Huddersfield.

This position is to start after the October half term on 4/11/2024, shadowing opportunities prior to this date will be considered for successful candidate.
