POST-16 PROVISION

At Brian Jackson College, our mission is simple: to create a nurturing, motivating environment where every student can flourish. Our post-16 offering in Heckmondwike is designed to provide a bespoke educational experience that aligns with each student’s unique interests, needs, and aspirations for the future.

We have excellent facilities and resources to support and enhance teaching and learning across our subjects. Our students have access to a construction area to learn practical vocational skills such as plumbing, joinery and decorating. They also have access to a vehicle maintenance area where they can gain practical skills and real life experience that will be useful if they wish to become a mechanic in the future. Additionally, young people have access to our kitchen next door in Brian Jackson College giving them hands on cooking experience and an understanding of healthy eating, while building useful numeracy and literacy skills.
